syntax error @ ParamVal.pm line 65

I've installed mailscanner-4.32.5-1 on my RaQ4 (RedHat linux).  I've been
following the install instructions http://www.qitc.net/support/mailscanner/.
When I come to start up MailScanner, I get the following error reported:

[root /]# /etc/rc.d/init.d/MailScanner start
Starting MailScanner daemons:
         incoming sendmail: ok
         outgoing sendmail: ok
         MailScanner:       syntax error at
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/MIME/Field/ParamVal.pm line 65, near "require

Any ideas?
