One disclaimer only please

We have a disclaimer that is attached to all outgoing email.  Is it
possible for the system to attach the disclaimer one time, so on an
email replied to and fro won't have multiple disclaimers skulking about
the bottom of the email?  

Also, is it possible to somehow attach a .gif to the disclaimer, for
say, a company logo?  Or would we have to convert the image to HTML?

I searched the archives, but didn't find an answer to my questions.
