Hmmm, only for redhat.  I guess you must install Bind with a zone that
only does recursive queries and caches them.

man vmstat

The output might be different from linux's so that's the best way to know.

You should look carefully at the columns 'r' and 'b'.  High 'r' means
you're cpu-bound.  'b' means you're I/O-bound (roughly).
