Interesting. So this provides you with the effect of maintaining multiple
lists, in that you can have something along these lines:
in spam.check.rules
From: *@redhat.com no
To: /etc/MailScanner/rules/disable.spam.check.rules no
To: /etc/MailScanner/rules/domain1.spam.check.rules no
To: /etc/MailScanner/rules/domain2.spam.check.rules no
FromandTo: /etc/MailScanner/rules/filter.spam.check.rules no
FromTo: default yes
Now, my next questing is, can I take this same theory and apply it to Is
Definitely Not Spam =, whereby the ruleset determined in the above would
simply be a list of additional rulesets?
Thanks for the help.

This might be helpful. I do the following.
in Mailscanner.conf
Spam Checks = /etc/MailScanner/rules/spam.check.rules
in spam.check.rules
From: *@redhat.com no
To: /etc/MailScanner/rules/disable.spam.check.rules no
FromandTo: /etc/MailScanner/rules/filter.spam.check.rules no
FromTo: default yes

Subject: Multiple Whitelists
Hello,
I would like to maintain multiple whitelists. i am running mailscanner 3.5
on an Ensim webppliance 3.5.17
can i simply point
Is Definitely Not Spam =
to multiple file names, such as
Is Definitely Not Spam
= /etc/MailScanner/rules/spam.whitelist.rules /etc/MailScanner/rules/spam.w
hitelist.rules.2
or must this feature be configured
through /usr/lib/MailScanner/MailScanner/CustomConfig.pm.
If so, what do i do with CustomConfig.pm (how would i initiate changes,
apply them, modify the file properly etc ...)
thanks, and excuse me if the last question is amteurish, im reluctant to
modify this server.
Ronnie Regev.
