Do you (or anyone else, for that matter) that a "personal" license would
cover using it for my server (where I host my domain)?

f-prot is free for personal use (on linux).

I like it enough to recommend it for our corporate use, and I bought a
windoze copy for my w2k pc.

it might not be "the best" but it's surely adequate and it's reasonably
priced.
