Installing on Mandrake 9.2

Hmmm.  It seems that the real answer was:

urpmi rpm-build

That must have been installed by default on previous systems.

Now the install script runs, but keeps complaining that perl-base >=
5.801 is needed by everything.  However:

# rpm -qa | grep perl-base
perl-base-5.8.1-0.RC4.3mdk

By my math 5.8.1 > 5.8.01  Clues?
