Sophos and PDFs again -- and speed

FYI,
   On a Sun V1280 (4 cpus, load approx 2-3, Sol 9), I get:

real        9.20
user        2.27
sys         0.17

for the wrapper test.  Real times are approx 7-9 seconds.
But this hasn't really affected my mail server in terms of backlog
or other problems.
