Sending to multiple email servers

The way to do this is to use MX records.

You set your main MailScanner server as primary MX and another server as backup MX.

If the primary MX is down, mail is automatically redirected to your backup MX.

What I don't know is how to configure to make the backup MX send mail back to the primary for processing...

Hai, thats how our mail servers are originally set up. But now with a mailscanner machine, I'd like it to do the same thing. What I have planned for the company is to put in two MailScanner machines (in case the primary one goes down for some strange reason), then I'll have a backup. But then I want the MailScanner machines to be able to go down a list or so. I know there are some settings where you can put in a filename which contains a list of servers...but thats for MailScanner. I guess what I'm trying to do would probably be a setting in Postfix, right?
