RH8/Perl 5.8.0 security upgrade crashes MailScanner 4.23-11

You're absolutely right. I posted this because I see many people asking 
this type of question and one more 'success' may help to decide wether to 
do it or not. Actually in my case I waited a while to see what the general 
reaction to this update would be and then took the risk. Somebody did 
mention RH 9 and this bit of info helped me. 

I suppose this is so with Mail Scanner because email is such an important 
and visible service that any downtime at all causes many, many problems 
(in my case, at least).
