SpamAssassin 2.60

I used CPAN to install SpamAssassin 2.55. Is it OK to use that to
upgrade to 2.60? Is there a special command for upgrading or just
"install Mail::SpamAssassin"?

Version 2.60 is not on CPAN yet, if it takes long, can I install from
source or will I have problem because of mixed installation methods?
Isn't CPAN just an automagic way of doing it manually?
