So you think the MailScanner processes are building up.

Then specifying your platform and using options from ps other than just -A
would be helpful. :-)  I assume it's Linux since the log mentions that.

How about this instead:
UNIX95= ps -efH

That gives a much more useful display, at least on HPUX and Linux, don't
have the rest available to test on.  On Linux, you may also get more info
from 'ps auxww' or 'pstree -ap | less'.

What do you have your "Restart Every" value set at in the MailScanner.conf
file?
What do you have "Max Children" set to?
