Can't get mailscanner into the 'circuit'

To List:

I have configured mailscanner properly but no email ever gets to me with
any X-MailScanner headers
included.  I get regular email all the time, both wanted and spam, but
the headers remain unchanged
regardless of the content.  I both send and receive emal successfully.
How do I find your or
trace what I am doing wrong?

Any help would be appreciated.
