php interface

I have installed the php /blacklist whitelist interface using the MySql
database. I have updated the custom config file to query the database but
to no avail. I get no errors at all , it just acts like it is not reading
the customconfig file. I must be missing something .Do have to put
something in the mailscanner.conf file to make this work?
any help would be appriciated.
