Performance question Redux

'scanning'? Isn't that done within spool/MailScanner/incoming directory?

If so, then in my post I mentioned:
  >(note, I already had MailScanner/incoming running on tmpfs)

and I thought that putting MailScanner's incoming directory on a tmpfs
partition accomplished putting it on a ram disk.

So am I missing something else, or did I do it wrong?
