Red Hat Enterprise Linux 2.1 (roughly based on Red Hat 7.2).

Here's an example:

Nov 29 17:30:03 mallard MailScanner[2918]: New Batch: Scanning 2
messages, 8875 bytes
Nov 29 17:30:04 mallard MailScanner[2918]: New Batch: Scanning 2
messages, 8875 bytes

Looking back through the log it seems that I was getting the double
entries with 4.24 as well, except that there was a "SIGPIPE received"
message between them.
