Mailscanner and SA

Guys, so any thoughts on Spamassassin doing RBL checking itself?  I have
tried everything, yet I see no indication of success from syslog
messages.  I am positive its not a firewall issues, plus mailscanner is
successful at checking the same blocklist itself...
