ANNOUNCE: Beta version 4.25-8 released

It looks like all the problems that occurred in 4.25-7 are now fixed, so
here's a rather better version for you all.

As usual, please shout loudly if anything is wrong (preferably on the
mailing list so other people can contribute too), and I'll probably check
in later today or tomorrow to see how people are getting on.
