I'm missing something here, don't understand what you mean. You need to
install the Perl modules listed in the guide.

Should be fine, except of course that you will have to upgrade MS to 4.25-7
to get the support for this new feature.

I just installed the latest Clam from www.clamav.net.

I wrote it using the latest version. I haven't tried it with earlier versions.
