URGENT: MailScanner issue on Linux mail server

That sounds right, the local mailer should deliver into /var/spool/mail, postfix should be using procmail to do local delivery. Sounds like postfix isn't running the outgoing queue after MailScanner processes the mails. So either that postfix process isn't running or something is stopping it working.
