Inline Signature Query

We would like to be able to add a small signature to emails from certain
domains. The only way I can see for doing that is by setting the option to
sign clean messages to 'yes' and add a rulefile.
  It doesn't work and complains about the syntax of the signature.
Any ideas appreciated.
