About to update sendmail, but a few questions first.

You will probably find that doing the update will do a
         service sendmail restart
which you don't want. One easy way to stop that is, *before* you update, to
add some intentional syntax errors to
         /etc/sysconfig/sendmail

My copy of that file says this:

DAEMON=yes
QUEUE=1h

this is a syntax error to make service sendmail start barf horribly so that
it cannot be started by accident.
