No, they don't.

You can't (yet). It just takes
1) entire email addresses user at domain.com
2) exact domains domain.com or *@domain.com
3) IP addresses.
It's currently fairly simple code, designed to run as fast as possible. As
a result it doesn't do complicated lookups. You are welcome to re-write
"LookupByDomainList" in CustomConfig.pm :-)
