is localhost good to block?

Hello,

I was just unsubscribed to a listserv I belong to. So, I looked at the
header of a message I had once received from that list, and noticed it says
it's coming from (localhost 127.0.0.1]) Should I contact the listmom to ask
them to change this, or should I just allow mail from localhost? If I
contact them, what should I say?
