This isn't the most elegant solution, but:
chkconfig --list sendmail |grep on
If anything at all is returned, they've done it wrong and this should
probably result in some sort of notification. (As opposed to
check_MailScanner trying to fix it for them)
But, I've no idea how to handle the extra sendmail processes on systems
without chkconfig.
