uvscan on debian

In case there are any other debian users working on setting up
mailscanner and using McAfee/NAI uvscan for linux, I just added this to
the FAQ-O-MATIC:

The old outdated version of libstdc++.so.2.8.0 against which uvscan for
linux v.4240 is compiled is available in Debian's old stable version,
potato. At your favorite debian archive mirror the path is:

debian/dists/potato/main/binary-i386/oldlibs/libstdc++2.8_2.90.29-2.deb

download the .deb and install it with dpkg -i libstdc++2.8_2.90.29-2.deb

uvscan will then run as expected.

It sucks that NAI is using such an ancient library version. How are we
supposed to trust a binary intended to be used as a security enhancement
when it is using a library so old?
