Mysterious MailScanner hangs

Well I feel a little silly because I somehow overlooked something in
syslog:

Jul 13 04:04:15 Iris MailScanner[10213]: Batch: Found invalid queue file
for message 8BEE88EABD

Doing some research on this message I discovered this issue had been
raised back in May:

http://www.jiscmail.ac.uk/cgi-bin/wa.exe?A2=ind0305&L=mailscanner&P=R22003&I=-1

...only I hadn't looked back that far in the archives.  I installed
MailScanner 4.22-5 and the problem disappeared.
