MailScanner not removing virus even though it was found?

As far as I understand it MS starts the virusscanner to check whether a
virus is detected. If at least one message in a batch has a virus MS
starts the virusscanner with the clean option. Perhaps McAfee doesn't
act (anymore) on that option.
