long file names and virus

Hi,
    how do i prevent mailscanner from blocking emails with long file names?
i need certain emails to pass through according to their long file names or
subject names.... another thing...i have f-prot scanning my emails...it was
able to detect an email with the fortnight virus but certain emails with
that virus is still passing through to other users? why is this so? is there
a leak somewhere?
