How to *not* scan outgoing messages?

Hi folks,

Reading the MailScanner FAQ, I notice Julian talking about scanning email
leaving one's site (question 7, "There seem to be long delays". My question
is, can I disable scanning (for spam and virii) of messages that are
leaving our site?

I couldn't find anything in mailscanner.conf that strictly forbids scanning
in either direction (i.e. incoming or outgoing), so if y'all could help me
out that would be great!
