Scanner is marking mail as a virus when it isn't one!

Every week my firewall program e-mails me a backup of the config file. Now
the mailscanner is marking it as a virus, when in fact I know that it is
not a virus. Is there anyway to add either the filename or the sender
address so that it won't look at the file as a virus any longer?

Is there anyway around this that I am missing?
