AOL and virus infected users (OT)

Has anyone else noticed that e-mail to AOL abuse isn't working?
EG: E-mail a virus detection report, eight weeks later, still geting
them from
the same  X-Apparently-From: address in the alert.

Does anyone know if the  X-Apparently-From: can be trusted at all?

I notice that CompuServe (cs.com) does this, and one or two others that
I can't think of off hand...
