Sendmail startup problems

This happened to me also, and it was caused by extra sendmail
processes.  on RH, issue a "service sendmail stop" and then "ps auxww
|grep mail" and look for a running sendmail process.  Kill it and then
issue a "service mailscanner start" which will start sendmail also.
As far as the full pathname issue, I'm not sure off the top of my pointy
head...
