I hope those of you who subscribe to lists where ideas like this are
being posted are taking the trouble to reply to posts like this,
pointing out that they are likely to block much legitimate mail. There
are plenty of MailScanner users who don't subscribe to this list and
will be using the default configuration.
Innocent user's mail being blocked because their admin/ISP is using
MailScanner is not good for the reputation of MailScanner.
Julian, might I be so bold as to suggest a news item on the webpage
advising users to switch away from the default headers? Maybe something
there about the Sobig issue too, for non MailScanner users trying to
find out what MailScanner has to do with Sobig (suggest you reference
the X-MailScanner: Found to be clean header so that search engines index
it for those searching on that exact phrase). Just an idea...
