Julian,
It's necessary any change on the /usr/sbin/update-virus-scanners to pass the
parameters to the Tony's script (-d, etc) ?
I guess my script just called like "mcaffe-autoupdate" without any argument
(I'm using MS 4.21-9).

The mcafee-autoupdate I ship these days *is* Tony's version.
But yes, to get called by update_virus_scanners, it will need to be
         /usr/lib/MailScanner/mcafee-autoupdate
