Hello Tony,
I'm thinking replace my original mcafee-autoupdate script with your script
(sended to the list on Jul-31).
After copy the script to /usr/lib/MailScanner:
- It's necessary to reload MailScanner ?
- It's necessary to stop and start crond job ?
- Your script send a mail to root's acount if something go wrong (ex: wget
failed) ?
- Your script send a mail to root's acount when a update have been done ?

Thanks a lot for your help.
Regards,

Rodrigo Scarano

 << Arquivo: uvscan-update.txt >> I've added a couple of features to the
McAfee dat file update script.
It now puts the datfiles in a subdirectory of the uvscan install
directory, so that a non-privileged user can be given write access to the
subdirectory, i.e. you don't have to be root to do datfile updates. I've
also added a -d delete old files option, which someone asked for on this
list recently. Enjoy.

Tony.
