but i can reach the dat file when i do it by hand into de machine...

Yes, though I suggest
        PATH=$LIBDIR:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin
so you only need to change it in one place (the setting of LIBDIR) if
(like me) you install uvscan in a peculiar location.
