Thoughts about Perl and up2date in RH

Hi
This might be sligtly off but I just needed to find out.
Did an upgrade last night to v4 and also added SA from rpm
on my RH 7.3 computer at home. Had to install v4 first so SA
didnt complain about missing Perl packages. Everything seems
to run fine and still do but when I did up2date in RH, it upgraded
some perl modules.

My question is, since I havent figured out CPAN, whats the chance
of breaking something important in perl by allow RH to upgrade
my perl-packages?
