Hello,

I still have problems stopping MailScanner (or restarting it) with the
"service MailScanner stop" command on my RH 7.3 system. I'm using MS
4.04-1.

See what happens:

# ls -l /var/run/MailScanner/
total 24
-rw------- 1 root root 6 Oct 29 08:53 MailScanner.26164
-rw------- 1 root root 6 Oct 29 08:53 MailScanner.26167

It looks like a new MS process is spawned right when I issue the first
stop command. This process is not registered in the
/var/run/MailScanner directory.

Issuing a second stop command kills it for good.

Any idea what is causing this?

Thanks again!
