Newbie Question - v3.13.2

As I am new to Mailscanner, and am wanting to run it in a production
environment,
I installed the debian mailscanner/stable package version 3.13.2-4.
Are their any pitfall in using this, or would I be better using a package
classed as testing/3.23.4-2 or unstable/3.24.1-1.
PS I am also using exim so cannot migrate to the v4 branch, yet.

Any help appreciated
