Spam white list

1) yes, the mailscanner whitelist should still work even if you're using
SA. It should even cause MS to not even run the matching emails through SA
at all.

SA has a quite versatile whitelist system itself. You can whitelist from,
to, and from with a received header requirement. See man
Mail::SpamAsssassin:Conf and look at the format of whitelist_to,
more_spam_to, all_spam_to, whitelist_from and whitelist_from_rcvd. Put them
in your /etc/mail/spamassassin/local.cf or mailscanner's
usr/local/MailScanner/etc/spam.assassin.user.prefs. All of the different SA
whitelists work by applying a score adjustment from the email (-100 for
both from types, -7 for whitelist_to, -20 for more_spam_to and -100 for
all_spam_to).
