ETRN and Mailscanner

Hi

My situation is I have three types of user

1. Users with local accounts on my mail server
2. Domains which use my mailserver as a gateway - I use mailertable to just scan the mail and pass onto their own mail servers
3. Same as 2 but who are on dial-ups, again I use mailertable but use the dsmtp mailer so mail for these domains is just queued.

1 & 2 work fine, however when 3 dials up and issues an ETRN command nothing gets delivered, if I take MailScanner out of the equation it works fine.

I think this is because sendmail is listening and putting mail into /var/spool/mqueue.in, mailscanner picks it up and moves it to /var/spool/mqueue - when the ETRN command is issued its looking in mqueue.in where the mail has already been moved?

Is my understanding correct? if it is anyone know of a way round it?

Thanks
