Ldconfig creates  the  necessary  links  and  cache (for use by the
run-time linker, ld.so) to the most recent
shared libraries found in the directories specified on the command line,
in the file  /etc/ld.so.conf,  and  in
the  trusted  directories  (/usr/lib  and /lib).  ldconfig checks the
header and file names of the libraries it
encounters when determining which versions should have their links
updated.  ldconfig  ignores  symbolic  links
when scanning for libraries.

It should be located in /sbin

Add this line to /etc/ld.so.conf

/usr/local/Sophos/lib

Save it and then run /sbin/ldconfig

Hi Folks

Our server had to be reinstalled and I am trying to reinstall
Mailscanner with Sophos

I keep running into a problem whe tring to install Sophos:

Clearing out old default Sophos installation libraries Unpacking
distribution Installing Sophos for MailScanner Sophos Anti-Virus
installation utility [Linux/Intel] Copyright (c) 1998,2001 Sophos Plc,
Oxford, England

Error:   Could not find 'ldconfig' in path.

Fetching latest IDE virus identities from www.sophos.com
Could not calculate Sophos version number, Bad file descriptor at
/usr/local/Sophos/bin/autoupdate line 77. Done.

I checked unzip and ncompress are installed..?

Running RH 7.3 with sendmail!
