MAILSCANNER AND MAILLOG

As the syslog lines say, the ones you have included are all very clearly
created by sendmail, not by MailScanner. If you are referring to the 2nd
sendmail line in the example below then yes, that line would not be there
without MailScanner running as well, but that's how MailScanner works.
Sendmail has fairly fine control over its logging, I suggest you look up
the LogLevel option.
