I get an error

Nothing to scan.
You should select at least one directory to scan.

and the command I put in was /usr/lib/MailScanner/kaspersky-wrapper . with
the . at the end

What happens when you run
         cd /tmp
         /usr/lib/kaspersky-wrapper .
with a couple of viruses in /tmp?
You may need to alter the path to kaspersky in the wrapper script,
depending on where you have installed it.
