MS not starting after SpamAssassin install

I did that and it still came up w/ the same problem

installed

rpm -ivh --force spamassassin

that didn't work so

rpm -e spamassassin

rpm -ivh spamassassin

still no go.

any suggestions or is it a spamassassin prob.

In the process of installing SpamAssassin, your copy of Perl got upgraded
too. The "old version hunting" that Perl does isn't quite enough for
SpamAssassin to work. So you'll need to re-install SpamAssassin. Then it
should go.
