Okay, it's written and is available at
http://www.sng.ecs.soton.ac.uk/mailscanner/files/autoupdate.f-prot

It's also mentioned in the News section of the home page, and will be in
the next release.
If you have a web proxy or cache that you need to specify, put it in the
space near the top of the script (read it, you'll see where I mean).
