unix passed to setlogsock

Hello,

  I'm occasionally getting the following message on the console and
  not in the logs:

    unix passed to setlogsock, but path not available at
    /usr/local/mailscanner/bin/logger.pl line 43

  I've looked at logger.pl but still don't know what to make of it.
  Any ideas?   TIA,   Tom Combs
