Julian,

Yes:

Feb 28 03:28:32 cbr.med.harvard.edu mailscanner[25233]: Cannot parse /opt2/mailscanner/var/incoming/g1S8S9x26005.header and /var/spool/mqueue.in/dfg1S8S9x26005, write-open /opt2/mailscanner/var/incoming/g1S8S9x26005/msg-25233-66.txt: No such file or directory at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/MIME/Body.pm line 414, <_GEN_72> chunk 39.
Feb 28 08:25:36 cbr.med.harvard.edu mailscanner[27883]: Cannot parse /opt2/mailscanner/var/incoming/g1SDPFx28272.header and /var/spool/mqueue.in/dfg1SDPFx28272, write-open /opt2/mailscanner/var/incoming/g1SDPFx28272/msg-27883-46.txt: No such file or directory at /usr/local/lib/perl5/site_perl/5.005/MIME/Body.pm line 414.

I believe two were running simultaneously so it would be missing
a file in midstream processing as above shows.

The check_mailscanner routine has some syntax errors for the
solaris 7 version of ps. I think this is the route cause. I've
taken this out of the crontab and run it manually and checked to
see that only one instance is running. So far so good. Now to
correct check_mailscanner for my version of ps.

Any other suggestions more than welcome.

Thanks,

Henry
