Reg. cost-free antivirus products

I'm going to install another box with MailScanner.

Ussually I use McAfee as virusengine, but now I want to try some of
those free anitivus products ;)

But... before I start installing it, I wanna know if you guys have some
experience(s) with those products?

Do they update virus-def. files as often as e.g. McAfee?

Which cost-free product would you prefer?
