Malformed attachments from MailScanner?

I've seen the behavior where the extra line is inserted before the
attachment.  I am using the latest version of all the Perl modules used
 by MailScanner.

 If you look at the email using (at least) Netscape Messenger, things are
messed up as descirbed in earlier post.  OutLook and Entourage seem to
 be more forgiving of the blank line and handle the attachments correctly.

 I have no data on any other email clients, but if this behavior is not
 MIME attachment compliant, its bigger than just Messenger.
